Tanzanian singer and songwriter Zuchu released “Tanzania Ya Sasa,” a patriotic song celebrating Tanzania and highlighting the country’s development at the time of its release. The song was officially released on June 11, 2020, with production handled by Lizer Classic.

“Tanzania Ya Sasa” was released as a special song praising the country and the then ruling party, CCM, and it references the leadership of the late President John Magufuli. Zuchu uses the song to celebrate infrastructure projects, education, healthcare and other developments that were prominent in Tanzania’s public conversation during that period.
