Member of Parliament for Mbarali Constituency (CCM), Mbarali District in Mbeya Region Fransis Leonard Mtega died this afternoon after a motorcycle accident while on his way to his farm.

Mbeya Regional Commissioner, Juma Homera confirmed the information where he said “Mtega died in an accident where the motorcycle he was carrying collided with a tractor (Power Tiller)”

Homera has said that the body of the member of parliament will be removed from Chimala Hospital and taken to Rujewa Hospital where there is a refrigerated service while promising to provide more information later “Some say he was driving the motorcycle himself, others say he was loaded but the majority say he was driving himself, we are following up more to find out the truth”
