Hamis Mwinjuma, commonly known as Mwana Falsafa, is a Tanzanian hip-hop artist with a more than fifteen-year career. He was born Hamis Mwinjuma. Although Mwana FA’s exact birthdate is uncertain, he was raised in Tanzania’s Tanga area.

Hamis Mwinjuma became interested in music when she was 12 years old. The artist started a group called Black Skin in 1995 with some of his classmates, including Robby Ras and Generics. The trio took home third place at the Tanga Hip-Hop tournament a year later.
Hamis Mwinjuma relocated to Dar es Salaam in 1998 to complete his high school studies while concentrating on his music career. He then released songs that got to the top of the charts to enter the mainstream. He is renowned for his electrifying performances and lyrical skill, which helped him become well-known.

Before enrolling in the Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology (DIT), he attended Mdote Primary School in Muheza for his first three years of education. After four months there, he left to enroll in the A-level program at Ununio Islamic High School. He studied mathematics, physics, and chemistry for his majors.
