For admission into programmes of study at the Abdulrahman Al-Sumait Memorial University, SUMAIT for any first degree or second degree, an applicant must have the following requirements for a successful admission.

Abdulrahman Al-Sumait University (SUMAIT University) is built on the foundation of the former University College of Education Zanzibar (UCEZ), established in 1998 by a Kuwait based charity organization, the Africa Muslims Agency (AMA/Direct Aid) founded in 1981.
UNDERGRADUATE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS AT SUMAIT UNIVERSITY
The students should have:
- A minimum of TWO (2) Principle Passes with Four points from two appropriate subjects in Tanzania Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education (ACSE) or its equivalent
Or
- Ordinary Diploma (NTA Level 6) with at least GPA of 3.0 in the appropriate subjects.
- Be a full time student.
Duration: 3 years (6 semesters)
SUMAIT University Admission Requirements
CERTIFICATE & DIPLOMA ENTRY REQUIREMENTS AT SUMAIT UNIVERSITY
Basic Technician Certificate (NTA Level 4) In Computing And Information Communication Technology
The applicant should have:
A Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE), “O” Level with a minimum of Four (4) Passes of Grade D.
Duration: 1 year (2 semesters)
Basic Technician Certificate (NTA Level 4) In Business Information Technology
The applicant should have:
A Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE), “O” Level with a minimum of FOUR (4) Passes of Grade D Including English and Mathematics.
OR
NVA 3 with TWO (2) passes in CSEE.
Duration: 1 year (2 semesters)
Basic Technician Certificate (NTA Level 4) In Office Administration
The applicant should have:
A Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE), “O” Level with a minimum of FOUR (4) Passes of Grade D Including English.
OR
NVA 3 with TWO (2) passes in CSEE.
Duration: 1 year (2 semesters)
